A softball game to benefit YouthGROW!

When: Thursday, June 28, 5:30pm
Where: Baseball field at the corner of Coburn Ave. and Hamilton St.

Join School Committee member Joe O'Brien and City Councilor Rick Rushton in a friendly softball game to raise money for YouthGROW. The suggested donation for playing or watching is $10 (but donations of all sizes are more than welcome!). If you want to play, call or email the REC.

YouthGROW in Harlem


YouthGROW with Mr. Cole in Harlem, Manhattan's Gardener of the Year

Thanks to a fabulous fundraising effort, YouthGROW's staff and four Youth Leaders went to NYC last week to pay a visit to Harlem United Gardens. The group took a tour of some Harlem community gardens, ate an organic lunch (from Whole Foods) in Central Park, and were served dinner at the Spring Street Natural restaurant. They also got in some sight-seeing time! The group learned a lot and is excited to start the YouthGROW summer program next Tuesday.
