Earth Day Cleanups were a Huge Success

Thanks to the hundreds of volunteers, and dozens of partners and funders who made the event possible.

A special thanks to National Grid, WSRS/WTAG, and the Department of Public Works and Parks.
And a very special thanks to Stephanie Urio, REC's fantastic Earth Day Cleanups Coordinator.

On Saturday, April 29, over 500 volunteers came out for Worcester's 17th annual Earth Day Cleanups. They picked up 75 tons of trash from 56 different sites all over the city.

To see some photos of the event, check out the Earth Day page on REC's website www.RECworcester.org
If you have any photos or stories from your cleanup that you would like to share on our website, please send them to: recouncil@recworcester.org

Thanks for celebrating Earth Day with us!!
