COVID-19 Message from the REC

March 16th, 2020

Dear REC supporters, members, and friends,

Per the recommendations of the U.S. CDC and state and local government related to COVID-19, and in order to ensure the health and wellbeing of our staff, volunteers, members, and program participants, REC offices will be closed until at least April 6, at which time we will reassess.

All programs, workshops, in-person meetings, and events scheduled for that period of time have been canceled. Our staff will continue to work remotely, and we are actively assessing how best to serve our community during the coming weeks--including supporting gardens and gardeners, urban farmers, YouthGROW's youth participants, and farmers' market and mobile market customers and vendors. We are also assessing whether any changes will be made to the REC Earth Day Cleanups scheduled for April 18th or the REC Spring Garden Festival & Plant Sale scheduled for May 16th.

We will communicate via our electronic newsletter and social media (FacebookTwitter) as we continue to assess the situation and make decisions.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us by email at info@recworcester.org. Individual staff will also be replying to emails and we will be monitoring voicemails left at our main number 508-799-9139.

We wish you and your loved ones health and wellbeing during this time.

Sincerely,

Steve Fischer

REC Executive Director
