SPONSOR SPOTLIGHT

We are incredibly grateful to the many organizations and individuals who support the REC and make our work to create food justice in Worcester possible! We would like to highlight two organizations that have been particularly influential to our work throughout the years:  The Greater Worcester Community Foundation and DCU for Kids.

The Greater Worcester Community Foundation loves Central Massachusetts! We know because they invest in the REC's efforts to bring healthy, local foods to low-income neighborhoods, train youth in leadership and job skills, and engage all ages in growing their own healthy foods. The Greater Worcester Community Foundation has given over $100 million in grants since their founding in 1975. We are grateful for their incredible dedication to the community, and for their support of our efforts to make Worcester healthier, more sustainable, and more equitable!

DCU for Kids, the charitable foundation of the Digital Federal Credit Union (DCU), makes a difference in our community and in the lives of the 34 Worcester teens who participate in REC's year-round YouthGROW program. DCU for Kids recognizes that youth engagement is critical to healthy, vibrant communities. By investing in YouthGROW, DCU for Kids helps youth promote healthy food access in low-income neighborhoods while supporting youth jobs, college access support, and training in job and life skills as well as leadership development.
