Meet Our New Community Farmers Market Program Coordinator!

We are so excited to introduce Ashley Carter, our new Community Farmers Market Program Coordinator, to you!

Ashley’s relationship with The REC began with her work at Ascentria New Lands Farm, a community farm run by new Americans, which was for many years a mainstay at our Saturday farmers market! She's excited to now be on the other side as the new Community Farmers Market Program Coordinator. Ashley grew up in central Massachusetts, but lived and farmed in Vermont after going to school for sustainable landscape horticulture. She spent time experimenting with tropical food systems on a permaculture farm in Nicaragua before settling back in Worcester County to drop roots and raise her growing family. Ashley is passionate about building food security in Worcester while creating a more inclusive farming community throughout Massachusetts. Her favorite thing to grow is garlic!

Make sure to give Ashley a warm welcome when you see her at the Mobile Farmers Market stops, Beaver Brook Farmers Markets, and University Park Farmers Markets this summer!

Don't miss out! The Mobile Farmers Market is up and running!
