Join Us in Saying "Congratulations" to Our New Director of Programs!

Grace Sliwoski, Director of Programs, and David Peal

In 2017, we said farewell to our Food Justice Program Coordinator, Casey Burns, as she moved on to to a new adventure as Director of the Coalition for a Healthy Greater Worcester. After eleven years, it was hard to part ways, but luckily we had an excellent internal candidate to promote!

You probably know Grace Sliwoski, pictured left, as our longtime YouthGROW Program Coordinator. We are extremely happy to announce that she has been promoted and is now our new Director of Programs! Grace is doing an incredible job guiding our programs forward and building on the strong foundations of all three of our programs.

In Grace's own words, "I fell in love with REC and the YouthGROW Program in 2010 when I joined the team as an AmeriCorps Massachusetts Promise Fellow. I was told when I first started that "YouthGROW is family," and that has truly been my experience throughout my time here. In the last few months, I've enjoyed getting the opportunity to work more closely with the UGROW network and REC Community Farmers Markets. I am excited to bring the creativity, heart, and enthusiasm that is at the core of the YouthGROW program to my new role!"

Congratulations, Grace!
