WELCOME OUR NEW MOBILE FARMERS MARKET LEAD MANAGER!

We are so excited to have McKenzie Gratton as our Mobile Farmers Market Lead Manager this season! McKenzie started her journey with the REC in 2009 as a YouthGROW participant. Within YouthGROW, she moved up to hold the positions of Youth Leader, Assistant Youth Coordinator, and eventually Youth Mentor after graduating the program. McKenzie stepped away with the program and into the cosmetology field. Feeling out of touch with community, she reconnected with the REC. First holding the position of Earth Day Coordinator, she then waited for a Mobile Farmers Market position to open up.

"The Mobile Farmers Market offered a perfect outlet of work to serve different communities within Worcester, including Main South where I grew up," McKenzie told us. "Working with REC also helped me to feel a part of a grass-roots superhero team! I'm looking forward to experiencing the excitement of our community members when they see the beautiful fresh produce at the various Mobile Farmers Market stops this summer. I'm also excited about improving market efficiency and being a part of the larger projects connected to the Mobile Farmers Market."
