FARMERS AND VENDORS

The REC Community and Mobile Farmers Markets sources produce year round from a variety of local farms and regional food distributors to bring the best of what the Northeast has to offer! To help meet our community’s food needs and preferences, we also offer a selection of tropical fruits and some non-local staples on our mobile farmers markets.

Basil N' Spice
Tai Cuisine

Basil N' Spice is a woman- and minority-owned, award-winning Thai restaurant in Worcester, MA, known for authentic dishes made with local, eco-conscious ingredients. Their Pad Thai meal kit brings the bold, signature flavor of their best-known dish to your kitchen. Gluten-, dairy-, and peanut-free, each kit includes our handmade sauce, selected rice noodles, and flavorful condiments.

Coolidge Hill Farm

Jared Duval farms about 5 acres of diversified fruits and vegetables on a lush 25 acres property. Jared previously worked for the last landowner and now owns the land himself. He hails from Petershams and  has been running the farm for the last seven years. He focuses on using Integrated Pest Management and also raises heritage breed pigs.

Global Village

Global Village Farms is a grassroots organization currently running a Cooperative Farm and Education / Healing Center. They grow a wide range of herbs, tomatoes, peppers, garlic, and other ethnic crops. Also offering honey, handcrafted lip balms and salves.

Just for Fun Farms

Just For Fun Farms is a Worcester-based microgreens farm dedicated to growing fresh, flavorful, and nutrient-packed greens—from sweet to spicy. We believe everyone should have access to healthy, local produce, which is why we specialize in microgreens, the young and highly nutritious version of full-grown vegetables. Our microgreens are available through home delivery subscriptions, restaurant partnerships, and our CSA program, making it easy to enjoy fresh, local greens year-round. Every week we will have Sunflower, Broccoli, Sweet Pea, and Radish microgreens available.

Nuestro Huerto
Urban Farm

Nuestro Huerto Urban Farm is located in the Canterbury area of Worcester and is cultivated by Tirtha and Dhan Subba and Indra and Dilu Taming. Both families originally came to Worcester as refugees from Bhutan in the 2000s. In 2017, they began growing culturally significant crops like bitter gourd, hot peppers, long beans, mustard, daikons, and so on for their family's subsistence. Soon after, they branched out and began producing crops for the REC Mobile Farmers. You can find their fresh cilantro, eggplant, cucumbers, and more on our mobile market from July through October!

    Traveling Cap Mushroom Company

    Traveling Cap Mushroom Company is a small-scale mushroom farm located in West Boylston, MA where they cultivate a passion for gourmet mushrooms. With over a dozen years of experience, their owner, Gabriel DeCicco, aims to bring high-quality, healthy mushroom options to local communities.

    Maple Syrup

    Bucket List Maple Syrup is located in West Brookfield MA and is owned and operated by Tom Meade and Martha Bryenton. As members of the Massachusetts Maple Producers Association, they bring quality pure maple syrup to the REC markets. They also offer maple cream, maple sugar, and maple candies. They also sell hand-dyed t-shirts with playful designs such as maple leaves, dragonflies, and more.

      Cotyledon Farm

      Dynamic organic farm. They go above and beyond to cultivate nutrient-dense produce and regenerate the earth they use to produce food! They use only Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI) certified soil amendments and fertilizers. They raise layer chickens and produce stunning and delicious eggs in addition to their year round greens such as spinach, arugula, dandelion greens, and more!

      Harpers Farm vendor

      Harper's Farm 

      Harper Farm & Garden is a fourth-generation family farm owned and operated by David Harper and his family. Harpers grows over 100 varieties of fruits and vegetables on 85 acres of land using their own compost and manures. They utilize natural pest control strategies, including predator wasps and ladybugs. The most popular item they sell is their very special "Mirai" corn! They never sell their corn that's more than a day old. Harpers is also known for their high quality, affordable, and abundant produce offerings at the REC markets.

      Marty's Local

      Martys Local offers a diverse range of high-quality, source-identified foods from Western Massachusetts, Vermont, the Hudson Valley of New York, Connecticut, and Maine. , as well as a broad selection from farther afield. They have strong partnerships with 100+ farms located mostly on the same routes as our customers, which allows them to focus on freshness. They are locally owned and operated, located in South Deerfield, MA

      Oakdale Farms

      Oakdale Farms is a 7th-generation vegetable, fruit, herb, and chicken farm in Rehoboth, Dighton, and Seekonk. The farm practices safe and environmentally friendly farming, producing food for the local community through venues such as farmers’ markets, CSA farm shares, and the Country Barn farm store in Rehoboth. Oakdale has been selling at REC farmers markets since 2010! They carry a variety of organic vetgale, fruits, and eggs!

      Chockalog Farm

      Chockalog Farm is located in Uxbridge, MA and goes beyond organic and sustainable. Farm owner Wenona Racicot practices regenerative agriculture, holistic farm management, no-till and chemical-free techniques to produce quality meat, eggs, produce, and cut flowers. They will be joining Beaver Brook Farmers Market this season with a selection of cut flower bouquets.

      Located in Charlton, MA Fay Mountain Farm uses non-GMO seed and IPM practices.  They grow a great variety of produce that can put a great mix on your tables every week throughout the season.

      Barnabus Fondia

      Juakumbah Farms

      Barnabus Forndia is a Word Farmer and REC vendor originally from Liberia. He has been farming in the US for the last 8 years and will be entering his fourth season at the Beaver Brook Park Farmers Market. Juakumbah Farm offers a bounty of naturally-grown cultural crops familiar to many shoppers from the African Diaspora and South East Asia. Among the crops he grows are tomatoes, peppers, sweet potato leaves, gourds, hot peppers, amaranth greens, malabar spinach, and lalu. North brookfield, water spinach okra

      Misigaro Farms

      Valeria Niyonkuru is a proud and experienced farmers market vendor who has been selling her homegrown crops at the University Park Market for the past seven years. She’s built a loyal following—especially her early-morning customers who come ready to buy greens in bulk! As a dedicated REC YouthGROW Farm Mentor, Valeria works in the greenhouses at both WPI and Holy Cross, as well as at the YouthGROW Farm on Oread Street. She grows a variety of culturally significant crops, including edible gourds, pumpkin leaves, amaranth greens, jilo, mustard, and shell beans. With her deep knowledge of farming, she’s constantly teaching our team new growing techniques and sharing her passion for sustainable agriculture.
