FARMERS AND VENDORS
The REC Community and Mobile Farmers Markets sources produce year round from a variety of local farms and regional food distributors to bring the best of what the Northeast has to offer! To help meet our community’s food needs and preferences, we also offer a selection of tropical fruits and some non-local staples on our mobile farmers markets.

Bucket List
Maple Syrup
Bucket List Maple Syrup is located in West Brookfield and is owned and operated by Tom Meade and Martha Bryenton. As members of the Massachusetts Maple Producers Association, they produce high-quality pure maple syrup and a variety of maple products, including maple cream, maple sugar, and maple candies. They also offer hand-dyed t-shirts featuring playful nature-inspired designs such as maple leaves and dragonflies.

Cotyledon Farm
Cotyledon Farm is an organic farm dedicated to growing nutrient-dense produce while actively working to regenerate and improve the health of the land they farm. The farm uses only Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI)-certified soil amendments and fertilizers to support sustainable growing practices. In addition to year-round greens such as spinach, arugula, and dandelion greens, they also raise layer chickens and produce fresh eggs, along with a variety of seasonal produce offered at REC farmers markets.

Global Village
Global Village Farms is a grassroots organization operating a cooperative farm and an education and healing center focused on community-based food systems. The farm grows a wide range of herbs, tomatoes, peppers, garlic, and other culturally significant crops that reflect diverse culinary traditions. In addition to fresh produce, Global Village Farms also offers value-added products such as honey, handcrafted lip balms, and salves, supporting both wellness and sustainable local agriculture.

Just for Fun Farms
Just For Fun Farms is a Worcester-based microgreens farm dedicated to growing fresh, flavorful, and nutrient-dense greens ranging from sweet to spicy. The farm specializes in microgreens, the young and highly nutritious stage of full-grown vegetables, helping increase access to fresh, local produce in the community. Their offerings include sunflower, broccoli, sweet pea, and radish microgreens, available through farmers markets, home delivery subscriptions, restaurant partnerships, and a CSA program that supports year-round access to fresh greens.

Misigaro Farms
Valeria Niyonkuru is an experienced farmers market vendor and the REC’s YouthGROW Farm Mentor. In addition to supporting growing spaces at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, College of the Holy Cross, and the Oread Street YouthGROW Farm, she grows a wide variety of culturally diverse crops including edible gourds, pumpkin leaves, amaranth greens, jilo, mustard greens, and shell beans. Valeria is known for sharing her extensive farming knowledge and bringing fresh, culturally relevant produce to the community through REC farmers markets.

REC YouthGROW Farm
YouthGROW (Youth Growing Organics in Worcester) is an urban agriculture youth development and employment program based in Worcester. The program engages teens and staff in growing a wide variety of vegetables through greenhouse and outdoor production, including tomatoes, arugula, spinach, and culturally relevant crops such as jilo, aji dulce, and pigeon pea. YouthGROW combines hands-on farming experience with youth development, leadership building, and food access work that supports the local community.

Wooden Bakery
Wooden Bakery offers a selection of freshly baked breads and baked goods made from scratch using organic flours. Their team of bakers focuses on high-quality ingredients and traditional baking methods to create simple, wholesome products for customers at REC farmers markets.

Daphne’s Tears
Bakery Cafe
Daphne’s Tears Bakery Cafe is a bakery and coffee business inspired by the history, culture, and mythology of Antakya. The café offers freshly baked pastries and coffee, including traditional Turkish coffee, with a focus on blending heritage flavors and welcoming community space. Each product is made to reflect a connection between tradition and the present, creating a warm gathering place where customers can enjoy baked goods, coffee, and shared cultural stories.

Harper's Farm
Harper Farms & Garden is a fourth-generation family farm owned and operated by David Harper and his family. Located on 85 acres, the farm grows more than 100 varieties of fruits and vegetables using homemade compost, natural manures, and environmentally friendly pest management practices, including predator wasps and ladybugs. Harper Farms is especially known for its fresh “Mirai” corn, which is never sold more than a day after harvest, as well as its wide selection of high-quality, affordable produce at REC farmers markets.

Kelly Homestead Apiary
Kelly Homestead Apiary is a small farm located in Charlton focused on natural, sustainable, and biodynamic farming practices guided by USDA Organic Standards. The farm produces raw, treatment-free honey, pasture-raised eggs, seasonal vegetables, and handcrafted goods such as beeswax candles and skincare products. They also raise Honey Bee Queens and nucs to support other beekeepers in the region, offering products through farm stand sales and CSA shares.

Nuestro Huerto
Urban Farm
Nuestro Huerto Urban Farm is located in the Canterbury neighborhood of Worcester and is cultivated by the Subba and Taming families—Tirtha and Dhan Subba, and Indra and Dilu Taming—who originally came to Worcester as refugees from Bhutan in the 2000s. The families began growing culturally significant crops for household use and later expanded into production for REC Mobile Farmers Markets. Their offerings include a variety of fresh, culturally relevant produce such as bitter gourd, hot peppers, long beans, mustard greens, daikon, cilantro, eggplant, and cucumbers, available seasonally through the mobile market.

Rota Spring Farm
Rota Spring Farm is a third-generation dairy farm that was founded in 1911 in Sterling, MA. Today, Rota Spring Farm raised grass-fed beef and grows fruits and vegetables in addition to thier award winning ice cream. We have worked with Dave Rota to purchase affordable high-quality fruit and vegetables, including tomatoes, blueberries, melons, peppers, eggplant, peaches, corn and more!

Coolidge Hill Farm
Jared Duval farms approximately five acres of diversified fruits and vegetables on a 25-acre property in Petersham. After previously working for the former landowner, Jared now owns and operates the farm himself. He uses Integrated Pest Management (IPM) practices to grow a wide variety of produce and also raises heritage breed pigs, bringing sustainably grown local food to the community through REC farmers markets.

Fay Mountain Farm
Located in Charlton, Fay Mountain Farm grows a wide variety of fresh produce using non-GMO seeds and Integrated Pest Management (IPM) practices. Their diverse seasonal harvest offers customers a colorful and flavorful mix of fruits and vegetables throughout the market season, helping bring fresh, locally grown food to tables across the community.

Juakumbah Farms
Juakumbah Farm is owned and operated by Barnabus Forndia, a World Farmer and REC vendor originally from Liberia. Based in North Brookfield, the farm grows a wide variety of naturally grown cultural crops familiar to many shoppers from the African Diaspora and Southeast Asia. Their offerings include tomatoes, peppers, okra, water spinach, sweet potato leaves, gourds, amaranth greens, malabar spinach, and lalu, bringing fresh and culturally relevant produce to the community.

Marty's Local
Martys Local is a locally owned and operated food distributor based in South Deerfield that offers a diverse range of high-quality, source-identified foods. They partner with more than 100 farms across Western Massachusetts, Vermont, the Hudson Valley of New York, Connecticut, and Maine, as well as additional producers from farther afield. With a strong focus on freshness and regional sourcing, Martys Local connects customers to food grown and produced close to home whenever possible.

Rattle Root Farm
Rattle Root Farm is located on a leased six-acre field in Princeton and is dedicated to sustainable farming practices that support healthy soil, biodiversity, and nutrient-dense food production. The farm works to regenerate the land while building strong relationships within the local community and broader ecosystem. Through thoughtful stewardship, Rattle Root Farm focuses on providing fresh, responsibly grown food, advancing food equity, and helping customers better understand and engage with how their food is produced.

Southeast Asian Coalition of Central MA
Southeast Asian Coalition of Central MA (SEACMA) grows a variety of nutrient-rich mushrooms as part of its work to strengthen community food security and expand access to healthy, locally grown food. Using sustainable urban farming methods, SEACMA cultivates mushrooms on upcycled materials such as sawdust and coffee grounds, demonstrating how small-scale growing can make a meaningful impact. Their offerings include Shiitake, Blue Oyster, Golden Oyster, Pink Oyster, and Lion’s Mane mushrooms.
